Elizabeth (Griffin) Witcher

Elizabeth Witcher, 93, of Washington died Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Manor Care, McMurray.
She was born June 1, 1920 in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Caleb and Victoria (Hill) Griffin.
Mrs. Witcher was a homemaker and treasured time spent with family.
She married Leandrew Walker Witcher, who died in 1966.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Jacqueline Elizabeth (Gary) Jones and Joseph Witcher Jr., both of Alexandria, VA; two caregivers and nieces, Christine Evans Tyler and Rochele Evans Wallace, both of Washington; 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Joseph LeRoy Witcher; a granddaughter, Angelica Christine Witcher; five brothers, William, Arthur, Emmitt, Jim and Grant Griffin; and three sisters, Louise Adams, Ophelia Griffin and Emma Evans.
Friends will be received at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 170 Greenside Ave., Canonsburg, Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., the time of services, with Rev. Hugh Lee Wallace officiating.
