Elizabeth "Betty" Mucha

Elizabeth “Betty” Mucha, 92, of McDonald, died, Friday, November 17, 2017.

She was born March 8, 1925, a daughter of the late John and Ella (Zalenski ) Mucha.

Ms. Mucha was a graduate of McDonald High School. She worked for Bell Telephone Company as an operator and finished her career working as a reservationist for Verizon. She retired in 1995.

She was a member of St. Alphonsus R. C. Church in McDonald, where she was a member of the choir and St. Vincent Depaul Society.

Ms. Mucha enjoyed traveling, visiting Russia, China, Italy and Mexico. Most of all she loved her family.

Surviving is a brother, Alexander “Ab” Mucha of Los Angeles, CA. and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Deceased are seven brothers, James, Edward, Leo, John, Henry, Paul and Joe Mucha; and two sisters, Anna Burak and Gert McKee.

Family will receive friends Monday, November 20, 2017 from 2-6 p.m. at Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at St. Alphonsus R.C. Church McDonald with Rev. Carl J. Gentile as celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Souls Cemetery, Robinson Township.  In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association, PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693.
