Elizabeth Helen “Gaga” Alfred, best wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, 66 of McDonald, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012.
She was born October 29, 1945 in Sturgeon, a daughter of the late Thomas and Evelyn (Waugh) Lewis.
Mrs. Alfred loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
On October 18, 1974, she married Lloyd Alfred, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Melonie (Jeff) Lewis Piatt of Pittsburgh; a brother, Gary Lewis of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren, Cullin, Makenzie and Maddison Piatt; two nephews, Gary (Sue) Lewis Jr. and Damon (Kristen) Lewis; two great nephews, Liam and Parker Lewis; and Rose Lewis.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and from 2-4 and from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held Saturday, January 7 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
