Eileen J. (Harris) Lauff

Eileen J. Lauff, 77, of McDonald died Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at The Donnel House of Washington.

She was born August 23, 1938 in Sturgeon, a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Dean) Harris.

Mrs. Lauff was a homemaker and a devoted member of St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, McDonald.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy, and making trips to the casino. But spending time with her grandchildren was what she loved most.

On October 2, 1954, she married Frank Lauff, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Deborah (Bo) Mehalich and Kimberly Lauff, both of McDonald, and Kathleen (David) Trace of Barrington, IL; a son, Dean P. (Jill) Lauff of Studio City, CA;  two sisters, Donna (Jim) Kuhl of Baldwin and Lois (Bo) Herrel of Mechanicsville, VA; a brother, James Harris of Richmond, VA; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (T.J.) Saye, Courtney (Charles) Long, Danielle (Dan) Rusnic, Kari (Ryan) Cudicio, Matthew Clarkson, Leah Mehalich, Nicole (Michael) Amaya, and Morgan Lauff; three great grandchildren, Riley and Charlie Long, and Sophia Saye; a special nephew, "Jamie" Kuhl; and a special cousin, Patty Zaccarino.

Deceased are a son, Robert F. (Pam of Midway) Lauff; and two brothers, Richard and Marty "Snookie" Harris.

Friends will be received from 1 – 4 and from 6 – 9 p.m. Sunday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, McDonald, with Rev. Ben Vaghetto as celebrant.
