Edmond L. "Ed" Taborski

Edmond L. “Ed” Taborski, age 84, of McDonald, passed Thursday, December 29, 2022.

He was born July 19, 1938; a son of Henry and Mildred Kozesnik Taborski.

Ed was a graduate of McDonald High School class of 1956. He then became a draftsman. He worked for LB Foster in Greentree as a Project Manager in their draftsman department where he retired in 2002.

In Ed’s younger days, he loved playing softball in church and community leagues. He currently was a member of Cross Connections Alliance Church in McDonald. Ed enjoyed watching Steelers games, traveling every year with his entire family to the Outer Banks for vacation and spending time with his grandchildren.

On October 20, 1967, he married, Rita Rigert who survives.

Also surviving are two children, Karin (David) DeWitt of Sarver, PA, and Thomas “Tom” (Denise) Taborski of McDonald; five grandchildren Alyson, Braden and Lidia Taborski, Ian Sulkoske and Colton DeWitt; two sister in-laws, Ruth Ann Porter of Burgettstown and Ange Taborski; a brother in-law John Robertson of Burgettstown, and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a son Steven Taborski; two brothers Henry and James Taborski and a sister Rose Araneicka.

Family will receive friends on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 3:30 to 7:30PM at Nation Funeral Home Inc. 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057; services will immediately follow visitation at 7:30PM. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions are suggested to Cross Connection Alliance Church, 201 Valley St, McDonald, PA 15057.
