Dorothy T. (Thompson) Laughlin

Dorothy T. Laughlin, 97, of McDonald, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Victoria Manor of Oakdale.

She was born November 1, 1918 in Flushing, OH, a daughter of the late David A. and Bertha B. (Davis) Thompson.

Mrs. Laughlin retired from PNC Bank as a teller in 1978.

She was a member of McDonald Presbyterian Church where she had been a Sunday School Teacher, an Elder and a Choir member. She was also a member of the Presbyterian Women’s Association and volunteered making cancer dressings.

On May 31, 1941, she married Floyd H. Laughlin, who died January 26, 2013.

Surviving are two sons, Brian (Chatal) Laughlin of Springhill, FL and Ronald E. (Sandy) Laughlin of McDonald; two granddaughters, Rochele (Jim) Reitlinger and Crystal (Randy) Reed; and four great grandchildren, Elena Reitlinger and Mia Reitlinger, Danica Reed and Brady Reed.

Deceased are two brothers, Alfred H. and Harry Thompson; and three sisters, Marie Thrash, Martha Black and Jean Riddell.

Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016 with Rev. Justin Amsler, pastor of McDonald Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald. The family suggests memorials be made to McDonald Meals On Wheels, 202 W.
