Dorothy S. Croft

Dorothy S. Croft, 96, formerly of McDonald, passed on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

She was born November 22, 1926 in McDonald; a daughter of Emerson and Clara Henwood Slates.

Mrs. Croft was a 1944 graduate of McDonald High School. She then went to work for PNC Bank as a Administrative Assistant.

Dorothy was the wife of William Langman who passed in 1973, and Robert Croft who she married in 1974, and passed in 2014.

Mrs. Croft was member of the McDonald Methodist Church. She loved drawing, painting, and crafting especially with her late sister-in-aw Blanche Slates. She was a former member of the Eastern Star in McDonald. Her greatest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are two children, Linda L (David) Bongiorni of Hermitage, and Catherine (Scott) A. Bierer of Delmont; a brother Charles “Chuck” (Late Blanche) Slates; five grandchildren; Christopher (Tami) Bongiorni, Jaime ( Richard) Catalogna, Corey (Emily) Bierer, Jesse (Sarah) Bierer, and Jason Thompson; four great grandchildren, Brianna and Gabrielle Catalogna, Ava and Andrew Bongiorni.

Deceased is a brother George Slates, and three sisters, Evelyn Bohey, Florence Courtney and Geraldine McKee.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 4-8PM at Graff-Nation Funeral and Cremation Service LLC. 218 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057; where services will take place on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Forest lawn and Gardens, McMurray.
