Doris "Jean" Rossi

Doris Jean Rossi, 87, formerly of Hickory, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
She was born February 8, 1930 in McConnell’s Mills, a daughter of the late Robert and Josephine (Howcroft) Melone.
Mrs. Rossi was a Housekeeper for Mt. Pleasant Township for many years. She also worked as a waitress for several restaurants in Hickory.
She was proud of the fact that she was a triplet. She loved spending time with her family, bird watching, gardening and playing cards.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Jane Charnik of Avella; a sister, Delores Lapenski of Washington; five grandchildren, Theodore Charnik III, Matthew (April) Charnik, Jesse, Christopher and Elisabeth Charnik; and six great grandchildren, Asa and Isaac Charnik Brooklyn Lee, Brandon Lee, Matthew and Abby Gale Charnik.
Deceased are three brothers Donald, Chuck and William Melone and a sister Elizabeth Cumer.
Family will receive friends Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
