Donald A. "Skags" Cagnon

Donald A. “Skags” Cagnon,  age 74, of Midway, passed on Saturday June 15, 2024.

He was born December 31, 1949 in Pittsburgh; a son of Merle Sr. and Bernice Reed Cagnon.

Don was a graduate of Fort Cherry High School. He worked for Weirton Steel.

On February 2, 1974, he married Barbara G. Cagnon, who passed October 4, 2014.

Don was a social member of the Midway VFW and the SNPJ Eighty Niners club in Midway. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are two children Jason (Elizabeth) Cagnon of Hopewell, and Kelly (Douglas) Weger of Midway, PA.; two sisters Mariam “Mez” McKean of Midway and Linda Sarchet of Hickory, PA.; four grandchildren, Evelyn and Jacob Cagnon, and Mallory and Piper Weger.

Deceased is a brother, Merle “Buck” Cagnon Jr, and three sisters, Lois “Kate” Yenko, Janet Smith, and Patty Causey.

Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Graff-Nation Funeral and Cremation Service LLC. 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057; where services will take place on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 11:00AM. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
