Diana Lynn Godwin

Diana Lynn Godwin, age 77, of McDonald, passed on September 27, 2023.

She was born February 11, 1946 in Eldersville, PA; a daughter of Henry and Freda Havelka Lesjak.

Diana worked in the Bakery at Giant Eagle in McDonald for over 10 years.

Mrs. Godwin was a simple woman. She an Avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially Terry Bradshaw who she adored. Her love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and Sister Marlene, who she had coffee with every morning. She also loved shopping on QVC, going to flea markets and garage sells with her husband Tom, cooking and baking for her family especially during the holidays, watching the Bee GEEs anytime they were on TV, Diana treated everyone as if they were family.

On July 16, 1965, she married, Thomas “Tom” A. Godwin, who survives.

Surviving are four sons, Patrick “Pat” (Amy) Godwin of McDonald, Thomas (Kelly) Godwin of Oakdale, Michael (Nadine) Godwin of McDonald, and Brian Godwin of McDonald; three sisters, Sherry Barfield of Burgettstown, Marlene Heirendt, of McDonald, and Lori “Kim” Lockwich, of Imperial; nine grandchildren, Riley Grubjesic, Kylie, Allie, Gage, Hanna, Thomas III, Taiya, and Ryan Thomas Godwin; three great grandchildren, Gianna Godwin, Jordan and Mia Coburn.

Deceased is a sister Rose Lee Lienard.
