Devonia Evelyn “Ann” Chatman, of Washington, PA,  passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023.

She was born January 6, 1935 in Chattanooga, TN; a daughter of Clarence and Tinie Burrell Adams.

On September 1, 1962 she married Alexander “Alex” Chatman Sr., who passed on November 15, 2007.

Ann was a former Deaconess at Nazareth Baptist Church in Washington. She was an avid baseball fan, but did enjoy watching any Pittsburgh sports team. She also loved traveling, gardening, puzzles, and playing cards.  Ann was a homemaker and would often babysit her grandchildren.  She was truly the matriarch of the Chatman Family and will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Surviving is a daughter, Keely A. (Dennis) Chatman of Florida, and two sons, Alexander “Alex” (Kathy) Chatman, also of Florida, and Clark A. (Rebecca) Chatman of Washington; a brother, Benjamin Adams of Bronx, NY a brother in-law, Chappie Chatman of Washington; seven grandchildren, Zachary Sonson, Errin (James) Earl, Jessica (Shawn) Carroll, Alexander (Carlee) Chatman, Corryna Chatman, Victor (Lindsay) Chatman, and Ronay Keys; twelve great-grandchildren, Cameron, Alayna, Chaya, Brayden, Caliandra, Havana, Nyla, Nala, Alexander IV, Clarke, A’ky,and  Hallie Rose.

The Family would like to thank the staff and her roommate June, at Townview Health and Rehab and the staff at Bethany Hospice for their support and loving care.
