Deborah (Sweat) Verelst
October 10, 1957 — June 8, 2014
Deborah Sweat Verelst of Paris, PA went peacefully to be with her God on Sunday, June 8, 2014, after an intense 10 week battle with lung cancer.
She was born August 10, 1957 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Harding) Sweat.
Deborah was a proud member of the Weirton Elks Lodge #1801 and was currently serving her lodge as the Exalted Ruler.
Cherished wife of Bill “B.J.” Verelst, Jr. of Paris.
Also surviving is a father-in-law, Bill Verelst Sr; mother-in-law, Patsy Verelst; two sisters, Donna Garsis of San Antonio, TX and Frances Sweat of Myrtle Beach, SC; one brother Tom Sweat of New Cumberland, WV; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Deceased is a nephew Tony Ward.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday evening, June 12 at 7 p.m. at the Weirton Elks Lodge #1801, located at 3429 Main St., Weirton, WV 26062. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Nation Funeral Home Inc. 218 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057.
