David “Duda” Eiler

David “Duda” Eiler age 64, of McDonald, passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

He was born on May 19, 1958; a son of the late Edward Carl and Virginia Julia Rehak Eiler.

David was a graduate of Fort Cherry High School, Class of 1976; where he participated in many sports, his favorite being basketball.

David was very hard worker his entire life. He worked for Mallet & Company in Carnegie for over 30years. While working at Mallet & Company, he also worked part time for Colonial Beer Distributing in McDonald, for nearly the same time. After retiring from Mallet & Company he then and currently still did work for South Fayette School District as a custodian.

David was a Lifetime member of the McDonald Volunteer Fire Department for many years, serving as a trustee. He loved going to Fireman’s camp in Tionesta where he would spend time with his fellow fireman. David was a member of the McDonald sportsman Club. He was an Avid Hunter, fisherman and runner. He loved running everyday either on the trail or just around McDonald. David and his wife Rita love the beach. They would travel to either Florida or Myrtle Beach to spend time either in the pool or on the beach.

On May 17, 1986, he married Rita Semerod, who survives.

Also surviving is a son, Rick (Jenn) Phillips of McDonald; a sister, Elaine (William) Norling of Struthers, OH; a brother, Edward “Scooter” (Deborah) Eiler of Moon Twp.; a granddaughter, Brianna McCormick and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 1-4 and 6-8 PM at Nation Funeral Home Inc. 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057. A Blessing Service will take place immediately following visitation at 8PM. Memorial contributions are suggested to the McDonald Volunteer Fire Department, 150 North McDonald, St. McDonald, PA 15057.
