Darla Jean (Holmes) Cook

Darla Jean Cook, 51, of Washington, died Sunday, June 12, 2016 in a tragic motorcycle accident.

She was born October 11, 1964, in Washington, a daughter of the late James Wilson and Martha Jane (Kavolik) Holmes.

Ms. Cook was a 1982 graduate of Fort Cherry High School.

She was employed in the accounting department of the Meadows Casino & Race Track.

Ms. Cook was a member of H.O.G. Chapter #1928 in Washington, where she had served as the chapter secretary. She enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles, and loved her dog, Harley. Most important though, were her three boys.

Surviving are three sons, Ryan (Dena) Cook and Troy (Macey) Cook, both of McDonald, and Cory (Brittany Forringer) Cook of Pittsburgh; a fiancée, Walter Maleski of Washington; two sisters, Mary (Michael Scariot) Holmes of Langeloth, Martha (Michael) Duell of Johnstown; two brothers, William (Jackie) Holmes of Erie and James (Sally) Holmes of Mars.

Friends will be received from 2 – 8 p.m. Friday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Calvary Center of McDonald Presbyterian Church, W. Lincoln Ave. and Station St., McDonald, with Rev. Justin Amsler, pastor, officiating.
