Daniel A. Rich

Daniel A. Rich, 83, of Pittsburgh, formerly of McDonald,  died November 18, 2019.

He was born January 24, 1936  in Alexandria VA; a son of Anthony and Estelle “Stella” (Striganovicz) Rich.

Mr. Rich was a graduate of McDonald High School. He was a florist, for 43 years at Rich’s Flower and Greenhouse in McDonald, then was a driver for Kirk Livery, in Pittsburgh, for 15 years.

In 1960 he married Joan Cole Rich, who died in 2003. He then married Sherry Caryll Rich on August 8, 2011, who survives.

Daniel was a former member of St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, where he served as an usher and the McDonald Lions Club.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Patricia J. (David) Phillips of Oakdale, Daniel L. Rich of Imperial and Adam ( Elizabeth Schreibeis) Caryll of Pittsburgh; a sister, Carol McGowan of FL; three grandchildren, Sarah (Ryan) Reilly, David Phillips, and Becky Rich; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Amelia Reilly.

Deceased is a grandson, Anthony D. Rich II.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald; where a Blessing Service will take place Friday, November 22, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery Moon Township. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Service, PO Box 98018, Washington DC 20090-8018.
