Charlotte A. Soubie, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was born May 10, 1942 in Johnstown; a daughter of the late Samuel and Pearl Melnik Markovich. Charlotte dedicated over 25 years of her career to working at CE Kelly Base in Oakdale, where she was a respected and integral part of the community.
A proud graduate of Fort Cherry High School, Charlotte was known for her vibrant spirit and her ability to connect with those around her. She had a passion for shopping, particularly at Walmart, and loved to play cards, finding joy in both games and the camaraderie they fostered. Her love for animals, especially horses, was evident throughout her life, reflecting her nurturing nature.
On July 17, 1962 she married Francis J. Soubie, who passed January 2012.
Charlotte is survived by her beloved family, which includes two daughters, Alayna (David) Stiffler and Michele (Joe) Brown; her son, David (Joyce) Soubie; eight grandchildren: Keith (Missi) Oravetz, Brandon (Rebecca) Soubie, Sara Soubie, Tyler (Caitlyn) Soubie, Carol (Bob Benoit) Stiffler, Ellyn Gann, Sandra (Jonathan) Taleton, and Emma Brown; as well as three great-grandchildren, Brodie, Bayleigh, and Kassandra. Each of them held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Markovich.
Family will receive friends at Graff-Nation Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 220 East Lincoln Ave, McDonald, PA. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8PM. A funeral service honoring Charlotte's life will be held on April 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Robinson Run Cemetery.
