Charles D. "Denny" Wilson, Sr.

November 19, 1943 — September 22, 2012

Charles D. “Denny” Wilson Sr., 68, of Primrose, died at home on Saturday September 22, 2012 surrounded by his family.

He was born November 19, 1943, a son of the late David and Kathleen Elizabeth McMahon Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was a 1963 graduate of Fort Cherry High School He worked for Consol Energy as a Coal Miner at the Montour 4 Mine for ten years and then worked for Fort Cherry School District as a Custodian where he retired after 25 years.

Mr. Wilson was a member of the Midway S.N.P.J. and the Midway V.F.W. Post.

On December 7, 1963 he married Sandra K. Kendall, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Denny  Wilson Jr. of Midway; two daughters, Dawn M. (Charlie) Swayne of Imperial and Bobbi Jo (Kenneth) McGregor of McDonald; five grandchildren, Kirstie and Breanna Wilson, Kelsey and Brooke Charlier and Corey Rose; five step grandchildren Kenny, Bryan, Kevin and Jason McGregor and Stacy Swayne; and 5 great grandchildren

Deceased is a daughter, Kathleen Wilson; a brother, Edward Dale Wilson; and a grandson, Michael Swayne.

Friends will be received from 4-9pm Monday and from 2-4 and from 6-8pm Tuesday where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday September 26, 2012, with Rev. Brian Kilbert, pastor of Center Presbyterian Church, Midway officiating.  Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Midway.
