Bill Verelst Sr.

Bill Verelst Sr., 82, of Hanover Township went to be with his creator, Sunday, June 30, 2019.

He was born September 25, 1936 in Sturgeon; a son of John B., Sr. and Minnie (Smith) Verelst.

Bill worked as a fork lift operator for over 30 years at J&L steel in Aliquippa.

Bill was a member of Centennial Lodge #544 F. & A.M. in Carnegie and the Weirton Elks Lodge #1801. He was an avid golfer and antique collector, especially John Deere tractors, and Jim Beam Decanters.

On April 15, 1967, he married Patsy Ann Vitagliano, who survives.

Also surviving are five children, Frank A. Bohach and his wife Mary of Weirton, WV, Flo-Ellen Joyner and her husband Kenzy of Chesapeake, VA, Michael J. Bohach and his wife Kathleen of Gulf Port, MS, Karen Victoria and her husband Don of Dormont, and Bill Verelst, Jr. and his fiancé Mischele of Hanover Township; two brothers, John B. Verelst Jr of McDonald and Robert Verelst of Atlasburg; a son in-law, Lloyd Zeff of VA; eleven grandchildren, Ryan, Melissa, Michael, Frank, Heather, Patsy, Stephen, Abigail, Justin, Hayden, Abigail; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Deceased is a beloved daughter Beverly Zeff.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 1PM at the Weirton Elks Lodge 1801 3429 Main St. Weirton, WV. 26062. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to The Elks National Foundation 2750 N. Lakeview Ave. Chicago, IL 60614. Arrangements are entrusted to Nation Funeral Home Inc. McDonald, PA.
