Betty J. (Hooker) Livingston

Betty J. Livingston 89, of McDonald, died Saturday February 11, 2012.

She was born May 15, 1922 in Johnstown, a daughter of Geo and Sena “Nancy” (Mertz) Hooker.

Mrs. Livingston was a Patrol officer for McDonald Elementary School and worked in The Cafeteria at Fort Cherry High School. She then worked for Deluxe Check Printers in Robinson Township where she retired in 1985.

She was a Member of the First United Methodist Church in McDonald where she was a Past Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member.

On July 29, 1944 she married Allen W. Livingston who died July 29, 1956.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia (Anthony) McCoskey of Clinton and Allenda (Ron) Gardner of McDonald; four grandchildren, Tina (David) Worstell, Mark (Kate) Gardner, Stacey (Kenneth) Jones and Jason (Maria Parker) McCoskey; and eight great grandchildren.

Deceased are a brother, LeRoy Hooker; and six sisters, Josephine Weimer, Beulah Englehart, Cleo Quinn, Goldie Jeannette, Georgia Jeannette and Shirley Snatchko.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Nation Funeral Home Inc. 220 E. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, where services will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery. Memorial Donations are suggested to a charity of one’s choice.
