Betty Jean Faingnaert, 84, of Midway died Monday, December 26, 2011 at Kindred Hospital.
She was born November 30, 1927 in Carnegie, a daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (May) Scott.
Mrs. Faingnaert was a homemaker and loved reading and spending time with her family. She was especially fond of her grandchildren and her great grandchildren who knew her as “Big Gram”.
On August 31, 1946, she married Harold Jules Faingnaert, who died on December 12, 2003.
She is survived by six daughters, Jean Hattarki of Ft. Worth, TX, Susan (Joseph) Forrester of Oakdale, Janis (Eugene Huey) Zack and Joyce (John) Ardeno, both of Midway, Jayne (W. Denny) Carter of West Alexander and Judy (David) Carter of McDonald; three sons, Harold J. (Judy) Faingnaert, Jr. of Pittsburgh, Charles (Roberta) Faingnaert of Imperial and John (Sue) Faingnaert of McDonald; two sisters, Eileen McQuilian of Cuyhoga Falls, OH and Shirley Benard of Carnegie; four brothers, Robert and James Scott, both of Carnegie, William Scott of Burgettstown and Thomas Scott of FL; 29 Grandchildren and 32 Great Grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Agnes Ceney; and two brothers, Raymond and Kenneth Scott.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held Friday at a time to be announced.
