Bernard L. "Bernie" Schultz 80, of McDonald, died, Thursday, January 1, 2015.

He was born April 16, 1934 in Crosby, MN, a son of the late Samuel F. and Iris Virginia (Kenser) Schultz.

Mr. Schultz served in the United States Army. In 1996 he retired as an equipment service EMP for Northwest Airlines after 46 years. He was also a farmer who raised and trained Appaloosa horses.

He was a wonderful husband and father.

In 1959, he married his first wife, Barbara Rausch, who died in 1973. On August 9, 1994 he married Kay L. Griffith, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Helen (Bryan) Morse of Pittsburgh and Paula (Glenn) Cole of Burgettstown; five grandchildren, Johnthan and Katie Emmett, Ryan Tyree, Sarah and Jessica Cole.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held Monday, January 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh.
