Auguste J. “Augie” Richard, 75, of McDonald, died Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Greenery Speciality Care Center of Canonsburg.
He was born October 29, 1938 in McDonald, the son of Auguste A. and Romaine (Orben) Richard.
Mr. Richard worked as a foreman for Ryan Homes for 37 years until 1997 and then worked for Raca Properties from 1997 until he retired in 2010.
He was a member of Iron’s Memorial Presbyterian Church, McDonald, where he served as an active ruling elder, a former trustee and Sunday school teacher.
Mr. Richard enjoyed gardening, word puzzles, trips to Sugarcreek and loved watching his grandchildren.
On September 15, 1962 he married Elaine M. Lesko, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Kathleen M. (Ashoo) Bhatti of Stratford, CT; a son, Daniel A. (Karen) Richard of McDonald; a sister, Rosalie (James) Augustine of McDonald; and three grandchildren, Emily Suzanne and Olivia Marie Richard and Anirudh Jonathan "Rudhy" Bhatti.
Friends will be received from 12 – 4 and from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. Friends and family will meet at Iron’s Memorial Presbyterian Church, McDonald for services at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13 with Rev. Charles Puff officiating.
