Agnes M. (Petel) Svihla

Agnes M. Svihla, 92, of McDonald, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Manor Care, McMurray.
She was born May 20, 1922 in Carnegie, a daughter of the late John and Pauline (Garjavic) Petel.
Mrs. Svihla worked at the former Western Center, Canonsburg for 18 years before retiring in 1983.
She enjoyed cooking, canning, dancing and playing cards. She always tried to help others and loved time spent with Brooke and Brandy.
Surviving are two sons, Gary Svihla of McDonald and Ronald Svihla of Meadowlands; a daughter, Audrey Underwood of McDonald; a sister, Marie Johnston of McDonald; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Deceased are her companion, Charles A. Loughner; three brothers, Stanley, Jack and Andy; three sisters, Ann Zarnick, Clara Smith and HelenGarcia; and a grand daughter, Brenda Underwood.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7. Burial will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
